Today in Puebla, Mexico, JAM, LLC met with Fito Export, S.A. de C.V. to open a new opportunity to small business in Mexico. Previously unavailable to small business in Mexico was cross-border collections for unpaid business invoices to the United States. Some surveys indicate there are $2 - $4 billion USD in uncollected invoices billed to companies in the US. A Mexican collection agency cannot cross the US border to get collections, and it is too costly for the small business to fight in US courts. Today, Fito Export proposed to JAM that JAM take the invoices to a US Collection agency and present the case.
"This is an opportunity to gather previously uncollected funds, and a way to take the responsibility off the shoulders of the Mexican business owners,” stated Adolfo Camet, President of Fito Export.
JAM will work to form a working relationship with a US based collection agency.
